Provo Half Marathon

I signed up for the provo half marathon in december because it was super cheap and because I was itching to run another half. My sweet nephew Robert said he would run it with me. It was on May 1st. The morning of the race I picked Robert up and we headed to get on the buses that would take us to the starting line. We started way up in Provo Canyon at a small little park. It was freezing cold, I was so miserable because it was so cold. I'm so glad that Robert was there with me, we fought our way to the front of this little bon fire. We ended up being about the same pace so we were able to run the whole way together. The last mile I just had no more energy so I told Robert to go ahead of me because he was still feeling pretty good. I finished a few seconds after him and I beat my personal record. For some reason though this race took all my strength and I was exhausted. I finished in 1:57:59 so basically 1:58. I'm certainly not a fast runner but I was happy with this finish!
