This room proved to be an even more worthy opponent than our room, so I am still working on it, but it is always fun to find surprising things, like the artwork below, when you dig beneath what you have grown accustomed to. I will leave you to ponder and interpret it, but I was impressed. There is an old saying "if these walls could talk." Sometimes I wish I could watch a movie or read a book about the previous lives that have passed through our home.

If These Walls Could Talk
So, after a brief interruption (Addison's birth!), I got back to work on Addison's nursery today. I really need to get better at taking progressive pictures. For anyone who has visited our home as we've moved down our project list, you remember that our bedroom and the "extra room" (at the time) were decorated with the most tacky wood paneling, and to make matters even worse, they were completely different panelings. We renovated our room last winter, and when it finally hit me last weekend that Addison would be here sooner than later, I decided to get to work on her newly claimed nursery. The wood paneling, floorboards, casings, and even more tacky quarter-round crown molding came out quick and easy, and (because our room had it too) I was not surprised to find two layers of 60 year old wallpaper underneath. The wallpaper in our room proved to be my nemesis, so I was not looking forward to our pending showdown.
