An Eternity

Six days is an eternity in the NICU world. I say "eternity" because it seems like Addison has been there so long, and because if you miss one feeding it feels like you have missed a year of her life!
In the last week, Addison has moved into the Penthouse (what the nurses call the upstairs NICU- a place with a LOT more room), has gotten off her I.V., has kept down all of her feedings for two whole days, and is up to 20 mL from a bottle. It amazes me every day that even though she is still just over 4 lbs., she is so strong and has so much willpower. I honestly think that she knows what her goals are and fights for them daily.
I was showing people at work pictures of her today and I caught myself apologizing that the pictures were so outdated- they were only a week old!
