Dempsey is his name!

We have finally picked a name for our puppy. Thank you to everyone who voted in our poll- the majority reconfirmed our feelings, and we have named our dog Dempsey. After a crazy week of training, Dempsey learned not to nip and what not to bite, but in the process he also earned the nickname "Jack Jack" since he could go from adorable to terrorizing devil dog in an instant.
Fortunately it was all in good fun and his tail was wagging the whole time, and luckily we survived and he likes to cuddle again, but we have learned that he has attitude. He is very persnickety about where you put his blankets (he will drag them from his dog house, through our house, and will even fluff his bed by beating it), when we go to bed (he will bite our pant legs and drag us where we should be), and when it is time to pee (if he is in the house he will patiently sit by the back door for 30 seconds and if we don't let him out he will go into the living room and pee on the hardwood floor).
He does love to go on walks and runs and is already a master of "fetch." And recently we took him to visit Harley- Dawn and Nate's chocolate lab- and he found a best friend.
