Snow Birds

We quickly fell in love with the winter weather in our new corner of the world. It turns out that while the rest of the world, that we have lived in in the past, is experiencing winter, Arizona is filled with mild weather and outdoor activities that have kept us busy exploring!

And over Christmas and the new year, with family, we were able to find all kinds of things to do.

Sabino Canyon is a beautiful state park for hiking, sight-seeing, and exploring.

The winter colors in the surrounding mountains (yes, our desert city is surrounded by mountains). You can even see the saguaro cactus (we know it's technically "cacti", but locals were quick to tell us that unless you want to sound like an uber-educated scientist, you call multiple cactus "cactus") that grow wild on all of the mountains.

All of our exploring caught up with Addi occasionally.

Addi loved playing with her cousin Sammy over New Year's!
