Tucson visit from the parents
My Mom and Dad were able to come and visit in March for 6 days and they were busy, fun filled days! We loved having them here with us. My parents are just my favorite people in the world. I feel so blessed to have been able to have them as parents and appreciate EVERYTHING they have done for me and my siblings! So anytime I get to see them I am just so excited! As soon as we picked them up from the airport we had plans. We toured the Pima Airspace museum and were able to see so many interesting planes that are so old but were used during the wars. We literally drove all over Tucson to show my parents all the different things that are here. We were able to meet up with my dads friend that he has had since elementary school and also able to go to Casa Grande to see some dear family friends that now live there. We also went to Tombstone one day and had fun learning all about the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday. It was a cool experience to be at the O.K. Corral in the same spot where the most famous gun fight happened. It was cool and depressing to watch the re-enactment of the gun fight. After spending some time in Tombstone we made our way up to Bisbee which is a famous old abandoned mining town, it has turned into a real touristy area but I really loved it. Loved the feel and quaintness of it. It is called the town of 1000 stairs. My mom and I found these set of stairs and decided we would see where they went. Well, they went, and went, and went, and went and went some more and finally ended up at a house and then a huge set of rocks and that was all that was there, wonderful view though! All along the path though there were houses all the way up it was so weird they were just literally on the side of a mountain. After exploring there we headed home. We sat by the pool, shopped, ate sonoran dogs, sat by the pool some more and ate. On the way to the airport I took them through Saguaro Park where there is an 8 mile one way loop of State Preserved land which of course is all cactus but at least they are cool saguaro cactus. We really loved having them here and just wish we could live closer to them, but for now we will take visits whenever we can get them.
