Easter 2012

This year for Easter we were able to have Shayla and Kevin here in Tucson to celebrate with us! Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love the reason behind it and I love being able to teach Addison about the ultimate price our Savior paid for us and about his resurrection. What a celebration we had! The morning before we headed out for a community easter egg hunt, which Addi did very well at. I couldn't believe how many eggs she found and how quick she was. We then had some good time playing at the pool. To finish off the day we dyed easter eggs and frosted sugar cookies and then had a delicious rib dinner. It was nice to be able to just stay around our neighborhood all day and relax and visit and have no big plans. Sundays we have church at 8:30a.m so we got up and hurried and found the eggs the easter bunny hid and Addi found her easter basket and loved her surprises. After church we all came home and took a well deserved nap and then prepared our easter feast! I wish I had pictures of our spread! We are so grateful for the gospel and to be able to have the knowlege we have of our Savior and the sacrifice that was made for each one of us. I know that my Redeemer lives. What comfort this sweet sentence gives! He lives, he lives, who once was dead. He lives, my ever living Head. He lives to bless me with his love. H elives to plead for me above.
