The things Addi says

I really want to remember all that Addi is saying lately, because it is hilarious. That girl has grown so much, and her feisty, little, sassy personality is coming out. Right now it is cute. In a couple years or even weeks it probably won't be as cute. :) Plus, this is a good place, so Steve can come and read and I don't have to write it down on a piece of paper and remember to tell him.

Today she was playing pretty well on her own. She was in the living room and I was folding laundry in my bedroom and she yelled "Mommy, I'm going to get groceries." I said "OK." She then said "Are you going shopping?" I said "yes." She said "Are you going to the little store?" "Yes, Addi." She said "I'm going to the big store and you'll never find me there." She then brings in her diaper bag and tells me to watch it for her, and as she is leaving the room she says "don't get into my toys ever again, or I'll lock you in my room."
Wow. I need to watch how I talk to her I guess.

She, when she's really mad at me, she says, sternly, "Mom, your cracking me up." She totally doesn't understand that one. Or she says "No talk to me like that."

She is always asking "What you wanna do today?" or "How was your day?" This is usually when she is trying to put off going to sleep. The other night she was talking to me from her bed, saying "Mom. Going to the park, the twirly slide, and the beach...Mom, my dog doesn't have a mouth...Mom, twirly slide." To which I responded, "Yeah. The twirly slide." To which she responded, "Cool. I like that...What'd you do today?"

I've been trying to talk to her a lot about the Prophet and she is doing pretty well with understanding his name and recognizing his picture. During General Conference, she did amazing and played in the room while I watched conference. I was impressed. On Sunday in church, during someone's testimony, a lady said "Elder Uchtdorf." Addi was playing, so I didn't even think she was listening, but she quickly looked up at me, gave me a quizzical look, and said "Mommy, and President Monson." It melted my little heart. She is listening. :)

She also pulled a $20.00 bill out of my purse and said "Mommy, this is my penny." :)

She is obsessed with money, and I will often find her unzipping the change pocket in my purse and emptying it out and running to her room to put it in her piggy bank. I caught her one day and got after her and she just looked at me with the meanest little facial expression and said "Mommy, I'm getting my money for my piggy bank." Then later she came out and in such a nice tone basically told me that all my money goes in the piggy.

The other day I overheard her giving herself a pep talk, saying "I'm not a loser. I'm a winner."

I'm missing tons and tons of things she says and I need to be better at writing stuff down. My memory is already failing me!
