Well, being gone this long means there is a lot to update, but I will just have to take it one day at a time! I'll start by Addi and I leaving for Colorado in the middle of the night! I had decided it had been almost 3 weeks since Steve left and we were having crazy people interested in renting our house that I just gave up and left town :) Not really, we decided to do a short sale and I got things set up with a realtor and then we left. I had to repack the house into the downstairs bedroom all by myself and let me tell you, it almost killed me. I didn't pack as well as I should have and there will be a lot to do when I get home but I left it the best as I could. We drove down to Keystone, Colorado where my parents were vacationing and we spent the night with them in the beautiful town. We then came back to Sterling with them and that is where Addi and I have been for almost a month and a half. On our way back to Sterling we stopped in Idaho Springs, Colorado. It is the town where Steve's Grandma Horst had once lived when she was a child. I wanted to find her home and to get some pictures. We found the home and we visited with the current owner who was very nice and had a lot of great information. She remembered the Smocks who once lived in the home. She even had a letter from Grandpa Horst. I guess Grandma & Grandpa Horst stopped through a number of times and he had written to her a few times and sent pictures of the house how it looked when Grandma had lived there. The lady said her name is Buddy which I'm thinking is a last name but she was really nice and helpful. She has my address and has Grandma Horsts and is going to be writing her. It was a great day! We are so excited to be in Sterling with my parents and we are thankful for their love, concern, and help!
