The other day she was laying on her back playing with her kick and crawl aquarium- a toy that she is mastering by the day. I went into the kitchen for a few minutes to get dinner ready, and when I came back to check on her she had turned around so her feet were pointed the opposite direction of the baby in the picture- quite the accomplishment when you consider that she had to get her feet around the arch to turn.
Well, on Friday, Jillian had put Addison down for a nap and was in the basement doing laundry when she heard a thumping sound upstairs. At fisrt she thought someone was walking around upstairs, so she went up to look around, but I was at work, and the doors were locked, and still, there was that thumping sound--coming from Addison's room! She went in and found this:
This is how Jillian found Addison. No crying. Just matter-of-fact "Hey, what's up, Mom?"

This is how it looked the 1st time it happened. She even made sure she left her blankets the same, what a clean girl.

This is how her blankets looked when Steve found her the second time. She escaped by kicking herself out of all three blankets!

This is how we swaddle her.

And then we lay Grandma Horst's blanket over her:

And then the soft blanket that she likes to cuddle with:

I guess we are going to have to get used to the fact that Addison is a problem solver.

I just love seeing all the pictures of Addison. Thanks for the fun on Saturday! Sorry we ditched for the movie but Steve got to rant about breast feeding because of it :)
jill put up your bumpers I promise she will be fine and that will help with that too. She is starting to get chunky and lots of hair on top.
That is so funny that she puts her legs through the slats. I know Eva would do the same if it wasn't for the bumper pads. But Eva still tries to pull those down too. I wished we lived closer so that Addison and Eva could play together - I think it would be so cute!
