New Baby Burt
So this morning I got a phone call at 4:00a.m. from my sister in Burley Idaho, she was having really bad contractions and she didn't think they were going to stop, so she wanted to know if I could come down to watch her other 2 kids while she had the c-section, this was all planned to go down next Tuesday, and my other sister had time off work and school to come watch the kids and then my mom was going to come that weekend and help when Dan had to go back to work but Kennedy (the baby) wasn't going to wait. So I packed what I could and jumped in the car about 4:15a.m. and was going 90 mph until I hit Blackfoot where there was about a foot of snow all over the roads so I had to slow down to 40-45 mph, this freak snow storm was horrible and I couldn't believe that I was actually caught in a blizzard on May 1st!!! Anyways Dan calls me after I get out of Pocatello and says they want to take the baby at 6:30a.m. and that is when they want to start cutting so they'd have her prepped before then, we were both panicked because we knew I wouldn't be there. About 10 miles out of Burley the roads cleared up so I stepped on the gas and got to the hospital right as Dan was getting into his scrubs, I came in said hi grabbed the kids and it was go time for Amanda. Kennedy was born at 7:14 a.m she weighs 7.4oz and was 19 inches long. Poor Amanda, she had a tough c-section just because of the previous 2 that she's had. She is recovering well and Kennedy is adorable I wish I could download pictures but I forgot my camera!!!
