The Sound of Solitude

Jillian and Addison went to Burley yesterday to play with Amanda and her family. I'm sure she is going to return with all kinds of fun stories and pictures. Just talking to Jillian, it sounds like Addison had so much fun with her cousins. Jillian said she has been playing non-stop, got super dirty from playing outside, and has become great friends with Logan.
Here at home, I've taken the time to catch up on a few things I've neglected this Spring. I spent some quality time cleaning the yard, seeding and fertilizing our old garden patch (we moved our garden across our yard two years ago), getting caught up on my scripture reading (we started reading the Book of Mormon at the end of last General Conference, and are on track to finish up right in time for next General Conference in October), and writing! It's actually felt really good to turn off the TV and enjoy the solitude of our home.
And by doing so, I was able to finally finish the first draft of my new play. I've got a lot of revising to do before I can call it done, but there is a huge sense of accomplishment that comes each time I can get an entire story down.
Jillian and Addi will be home tonight with a new toddler bed for Addi's room, and I can't wait to see them again! Just in time for the weekend. It's play time!!
