Blessing Day

Sunday was Addison's baby blessing, and everything was perfect. The weather was beautiful, and we were surrounded by family and friends. I've restarted this blog entry four times now, and I keep coming back to the simplicity of this event. The blessing was simple (even if I was a nervous wreck)- a simple message from Heavenly Father about who Addison was before she came to this Earth and the potential she has in life. I can't imagine she will remember anything that was said, but I know as we continue to live Christ centered lives she will grow into the woman she is capable of becoming and Jillian and I will become the parents she needs.
The luncheon was at my sister, Dawn's, house, and it was just right. Dawn surprised Jillian with a cake from The Red Door Bakery (it's becoming quite a tradition in our families- if you remember Jillian's bathtub birthday cake) and it was so beautiful we felt bad cutting it. We spent the afternoon visiting, and with both of our families together it was fun to have everyone interacting and see Ashlyn playing with Grant and Garrett.

Oh my gosh that cake is absolutely amazing! Holy cow....I wouldnt want to cut it either!!
